The eighth meeting took place on Saturday September 28th in Sheffield. Here is the programme:
Algebras of p-adic distributions and represention theory
On equivariant Tamagawa numbers, Weil étale cohomology and derivatives of abelian L-functions
Abstract: We show that, in certain cases, Lichtenbaum's Weil-Etale cohomology leads to a much more explicit interpretation of the (equivariant) Tamagawa number conjecture. We then use this approach to formulate, and in certain cases also prove, a universal refinement of the well known (and a priori rather different) conjectures of Stark, of Gross, of Tate, of Rubin and of Darmon concerning the values of derivatives of abelian L-functions.
Rational and numerical equivalences on certain abelian varieties over finite fields
